New slim meeting rail makes the Ultimate Rose even more authentic

It was already respected industry-wide as the most authentic uPVC vertical-sliding flush sash window ever conceived – but now sash window experts Roseview Windows have taken their acclaimed Ultimate Rose one step further, launching an upgraded model that’s even more faithful to the classic timber originals that inspired its design.
Released in 2013 as part of Roseview’s much-celebrated Rose Collection, the original Ultimate Rose broke new ground with its forensic attention to detail, replicating iconic timber features like putty lines, full mechanical joints and run-through sash horns. Pushing the boundaries of what many had thought possible with uPVC, the Ultimate Rose went on to win a coveted G-Award in 2013. It’s since been cleared for use in dozens of conservation areas.
The motivation behind designing a new and improved Ultimate Rose was simple, as Roseview marketing manager Mike Bygrave explains: “We wanted to make it even better. It’s not a revolutionary transformation - we’ve always seen product development as a continuous process of constant, gradual evolution, rather than a series of big leaps and bounds. But we’ve zeroed in on the fine details – and although the changes we’ve made may sound like minor tweaks, the finished article is remarkable.”
“We’ve developed our own meeting rail profile – getting rid of the tell-tale interlock line that immediately shows anyone in the know that a product isn’t timber. At the same time, we’ve cut the meeting rail depth by 9.5mm. It was incredibly slim as it was, but now, at just 35mm, it’s the slimmest on the market. The overall result is incredible – if you place an Ultimate Rose alongside a timber vertical-sliding sash window, you’d struggle to tell the difference.”
Making its first public appearance at this April’s FIT Show, the upgraded Ultimate Rose was rapturously received by the industry’s best and brightest. “The crowd around the stand was three people deep at its busiest,” said Mike. “We’ve always known the Ultimate Rose is something special, but even we were taken aback by the level of response we saw. The new model Ultimate Rose is now available – so we’d encourage anyone interested in offering the most authentic uPVC sash window on the market to get in touch.”
