Ambitious growth plans sees Colin Stanley appointed as operations director

PVC-u and aluminium fabricator Astraseal has promoted long-standing employee Colin Stanley to operations director as part of its plans to significantly grow the trade sector of the business. Colin, who has worked for Astraseal for the past 20 years and has a strong trade background, will focus on improving efficiency throughout all areas within the company; including manufacturing, admin and transport; and spearheading future product launches.
Colin comments: “Astraseal has grown enormously since I started here and I’m excited to be part of a company that continues to invest in its success. Expansion of our manufacturing facilities and the introduction of exciting new products puts Astraseal in a strong position going forward and I look forward to taking on a more prominent role in the business.”

With our manufacturing volumes fast approaching 4,000 frames per week, Colin will help ensure product quality remains high, lead times are short as possible and our wastage and carbon footprint is kept to a minimum. We have big plans for Astraseal over the next few years and I’m sure Colin’s knowledge and experience will add a lot of value, particularly on the trade side.”
One of Colin’s first achievements as operations director was the successful launch of WarmCore, the new aluminium folding sliding door system with an energy efficient PVC-u core. Astraseal offer this product with quick lead times and no additional charge or lead times for dual colour options.
WarmCore aside, Astraseal fabricates a full range of REHAU products including the Total 70 and Geneo systems, along with Smarts and Reynaers aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling, Global conservatory roofs, and Synseal vertical sliders. These are all manufactured in-house including sealed units, and investment in an in-house colour spraying facility means Astraseal can offer REHAU frames in over 150 shades from the RAL colour range.
