Dempsey Dyer Scoops Manufacturing Award!

Forward-thinking PVCu and timber fabricator Dempsey Dyer is delighted to announce it has seen its commitment to innovation and lean manufacturing endorsed by the highest echelons of government.
The Pontefract based manufacturers were recently presented with the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) award which is recognised by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
This award is presented to manufacturing companies that have seen outstanding business and operational improvements.
Peter Dyer, Managing Director at Dempsey Dyer comments: “We manufacture both timber and PVCu and we are constantly looking for new ways to streamline the production process and increase efficiencies on the factory floor.
“The whole team has worked extremely hard to improve operations and being awarded the MAS Works Award is vindication of this.”
One of the concepts that underpins Dempsey Dyer’s approach is ‘durability by design’ – a unique manufacturing method which means that all Dempsey Dyer timber is dry gasket glazed, with concealed or sloped drainage systems.
This innovative design ensures any moisture that penetrates the external glazing seals has an escape route and therefore eliminates standing water from the rebate – significantly reducing the risk of rotting and warping.
Progressive thought and manufacturing innovation was also displayed by Dempsey Dyer with the recent launch of its Beaumont Composite Window – a product that is based on the Deceuninck 2800 system and is hand crafted using traditional jointing methods to create the aesthetics of timer with the modern high-performance of PVC-u.
