elumatec to bring uPVC revolution to May’s FIT Show

elumatec to bring uPVC revolution to May’s FIT Show

Posted on 09/02/2017

For half a century, world-renowned machinery manufacturer elumatec has led the way in aluminium profile machining, offering the fastest, most reliable, most innovative products on the market – but now, the global firm is expanding its focus, introducing an extensive range of uPVC machining products it will showcase in the UK for the first time at May’s FIT Show.

Offered in collaboration with Sturtz, itself a respected manufacturer with a 65-year pedigree, the new machines will add industry-leading uPVC capacity to elumatec’s existing aluminium machining portfolio.

On the elumatec stand at FIT, show-goers will have the chance to examine no less than half a dozen of the manufacturer’s cutting-edge new additions, including the Sturtz FlexCentre 160, and the Sturtz TXR 3/2 Corner Transom Cleaner.

The FlexCentre 160 is a highly advanced cutting and machining centre for uPVC window and door production. Boasting a 6-axis machining module and a triple sawing unit, it’s one of the most versatile products in its class, while the automatic preload of profile bars and off-load conveyor belt maximise productivity and efficiency.

The TXR 3/2 Corner Transom Cleaner is a revolutionary machine that fully automates the cleaning of corners, transoms and crucifix welds. Spring-loaded knife units allow for unparalleled accuracy, while flexible tooling options allow the machine to be quickly adapted for different purposes.

Also on display at the Birmingham NEC will be the Sturtz VSM Turbo Welder, a high-speed vertical 4-point welder offering exceptional accuracy and high-temperature welding functionality that can reduce welding times by up to 30%; the Sturtz Contourline, capable of producing smooth, virtually seamless corner welds much quicker that methods that involve complex specialist welding processes; and two aluminium machining products, the SBZ 628 profile machining centre, and the SBZ 122/74, a 4-axis CNC.

The firm won’t just be exhibiting machinery products, however – elumatec will also be demonstrating the latest module to be added to its eluCad software. Developed by its in-house software arm, elusoft, eluCloud allows fabricators to collate and evaluate production data and use it to monitor how efficient their machines are.

Phil Heavey, elumatec managing director commented: “With these newest additions to the range, we’re bringing the same excellence, reliability and commitment to innovation we’ve always brought to aluminium fabricators to manufacturers of uPVC – and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to showcase some of these ground-breaking products to the industry’s best and brightest at May’s FIT Show.”

Founded in 1928, elumatec has grown into the world’s biggest aluminium machinery company over eighty years in business. Winning a global reputation for quality, innovation and excellence in design, elumatec has a presence in dozens of countries around the world, and across all five continents.
