Irish Oak ‘A’ rated windows…for a tree house

One leading South West fabricator is normally used to supplying its windows and doors for residential and commercial projects.
But a recent project has seen MWD Trade Windows & Doors supply a number of Irish Oak ‘A’ rated windows for a high-end tree house.
MWD worked with Ben Edwards Builders to complete the installation in Somerset – with the owners of the property building the tree house for office use and additional living space.
The novel idea could spark a wave of copy-cat installations says MWD’s Jim Martin.
He comments: “It’s not the type of project we usually work on and is certainly a first for us. But then you think if property owners have the space and don’t mind the climb then it could become more common. It puts a whole new spin on living al fresco.”
Ben Edwards comments: “It was an interesting project to work on and MWD are a great company to work with – always on time, efficient and top quality products.”
MWD manufacture and supply Duraflex casement windows, Residential, bi-folding and composite doors, vertical sliding sash windows and patios.
They are specialists in colour and can provide advice and support with how best to sell its benefits.
MWD also specialise in manufacturing shaped and bespoke windows for specific applications and non-standard installations.
“We’re busier than ever at the moment and completing a number of similar high-end projects. Confidence amongst property owners to invest shows no sign of slowing,” Jim concludes.
