Outdoor living specialists Milwood Group complete two senior appointments

With the continued growth of the outdoor living market and their range of aluminium verandas, canopies and carports, G18 Award finalists Milwood Group have confirmed two key changes to their management structure.
The Kent-based specialists are pleased to announce that Operations Manager, Kevin Horne has been promoted to the role of Managing Director. Kevin, who is well known to both trade partners and the industry through his almost six-year tenure at Milwood, will now take over the day-to-day running of the business.
The move comes as Milwood Group’s Founder, Mark Wood steps down as MD to focus all of his attention on Ali-deck, Milwood’s new ground-breaking aluminium decking system.
Speaking on his appointment, Kevin comments: “I am absolutely delighted to accept this new challenge. Having worked with Mark over the last six years and watched him grow the company from strength to strength, I’m well aware I have big shoes to fill. However, I’m excited by the opportunity to continue his great work and to continue delivering unrivalled quality, innovation and customer service.
“That will be my remit moving forward, working with our fantastic team to deliver as much value as we can for our trade partners, all while maintaining that ‘right first time’ focus. I am really proud to be taking over as MD and I’m looking forward to really getting stuck in.”
Milwood Group are also pleased to announce that Projects Manager, Daniel Royston has accepted the now-vacant role of Operations Manager. In just over a year, Daniel’s insights into manufacturing, distribution and stock management have helped the firm run more efficiently. In his new role, Daniel will be tasked with bringing that same dynamic approach to Milwood’s complete operation.
Daniel comments: “After a fantastic first year with the team, I am absolutely thrilled to be taking on this new role. It’s been great to work with both Kevin and Mark and really take advantage of their experience and expertise. I’m looking forward to more of the same working alongside Kevin in this new operational capacity. There’s a lot to get to grips with but I’m really excited by the opportunity.”
