At last, the world’s first SBD Accredited Aluminium Bi-folding Door

Sliders UK, the company that introduced the world’s first and only Secured by Design accredited PVC-u bi-folding door, has done it again and launched the first Secured by Design accredited aluminium bi-folding door. Branded the ‘Ultimate Beaufort Bi-folding Door’, this product is ideal for situations where the end user requires the utmost in security and looks set to open up a wealth of sales opportunities for Sliders UK and their customers.
Ian Longbottom, managing director of Sliders UK discusses the pioneering product in more detail: “The market for aluminium bi-folds has grown enormously in the last few years and as a company with a wealth of experience manufacturing large and complex products, we felt now was a good time to enter the arena. We didn’t want to just launch a run of the mill aluminium bi-fold, so we went to the extra mile to gain SBD accreditation prior to the products launch. This gives our customers an incredibly powerful unique selling point and a real opportunity to capitalise on the huge demand for aluminium bi-folds in both the commercial and domestic market.”
Aside from market leading security, the door offers the stand out features you would expect from a high performance aluminium bi-fold. Ian elaborates: “The door has a polyamide thermal break, enabling it to achieve a U-value as low as 1.6w/m2K, and is available powder coated in any RAL colour – dual colour if necessary. We feel the combination of high security, energy efficiency and aesthetics will help our customers stand out in the competitive market place.”
Sliders offer a number of products with SBD accreditation, all of which fall under the ‘Ultimate’ brand. These include the Ultimate Patio Door, which is manufactured using the Duraflex uPVC system; the Ultimate Composite Door, which is manufactured with a Duraflex outerframe and Nan Ya slab; the Ultimate Bi-fold, which is manufactured with the Duraflex uPVC system and now of course the Ultimate Beaufort Bi-fold. Sliders also recently introduced Veka patio doors and composite doors with a Veka outerframe to the mix. “We offer a diverse range of specialist products and the Ultimate Beaufort Bi-fold is an exciting addition to our portfolio” Ian concluded.
