Investment in new machining centre to help SupaLite soar

Renowned tile roof manufacturer SupaLite has invested around £400K in a new machining centre at its headquarters in Preston, building on its continued success.
SupaLite are the manufacturers behind the revolutionary SupaLite tiled roof system for conservatories and orangeries which is in high demand thanks to its lightweight design, exceptional thermal performance and ease of installation.
The new bespoke cutting centre will double SupaLite’s production capacity at their factory to more than 200 roofs per week.
It is the next part of the company’s ambitious growth plan, and Dave Watters, Managing Director of SupaLite, said: “This major investment will take SupaLite to the next level in our manufacturing growth plan.
“At SupaLite we are committed to providing not only the highest quality tiled roofs but supplying them in a timely manner, and the new machining centre will help us achieve this. This new level of capacity will allow us to hit our orders and provide what our customers want quicker as demand increases for our roofs.”
The centre, which is due to be commissioned in August, means that SupaLite can now offer part fabricated roofs to customers, which is great news for smaller fabricators who struggle with storage.
The company are also looking at further investment later this year on ply cutting and insulation cutting which will give SupaLite a state-of-the-art production facility.
After the recent appointment of five new staff and the unveiling of a new Roadshow Display Vehicle, the new machining centre is the latest investment SupaLite have made to keep at the forefront of the industry.
