T&K supports Chester as he takes first place in Stoxkart Grand National

Not content with leading the way in the home improvement market, T&K are also leading the way on the track – the Stoxkart track to be exact.
And it’s all thanks to Chester Love, who had his best result of the season on the weekend of July 14-July 15 when he won first place in the Buxton Grand National.
The Wellingborough-based firm has been sponsoring Chester, who is 13 and lives in Northamptonshire, in Stoxkart racing since he started last year, and he is currently in his second season.
For those who don’t know much about Stoxkart racing, the short oval racing action is fast, close and fun like go-karting. However, unlike go-karts, using the bumper in Stoxkart racing is not only permitted but part of the race.
Based around a 390cc Honda 4 stroke engine with a centrifugal clutch, Stoxkarts can reach speeds of more than 50mph, and all karts run on transponders for lap positions.
Chester said of his win: “Considering I was involved in a bad accident on the Saturday meeting, we didn’t think I’d be racing on Sunday, but Dad and I worked through the night and early Sunday morning, with the help of other parents, to rebuild the Stoxkart back to racing condition. Winning the Buxton Grand National finished off the weekend on a high note.”
Chester’s dad Steve, who is Conservatory Surveyor Manager at T&K Home Improvement and has been working there for 35 years, said: “He did really well to get back into the Stoxkart after his accident on Saturday and to win the Grand National the next day was a real achievement. We are all really proud of him.
“It’s absolutely fantastic that T&K and our sister company Emplas sponsors Chester. As it’s oval racing, with T&K on one side and Emplas on the other, it works out well for both!”
